The Virginia Association of USA Boxing,Inc. (LBC#12) is the governing body for Olympic-style amateur boxing in Virginia.

As the governing body, we are responsible for the administration, development and promotion of Olympic-style boxing in the great state of Virginia. As a member of USA Boxing we are a non-profit organization and is thus overseen by a Board of Directors.

We host a number of yearly tournaments that include, but not limited to, USA Boxing State Championships, Junior Olympic Championships, the Virginia Golden Gloves Championships, the Virginia Silver Gloves Championships and other invitationals.

The Virginia Association is comprised of over 25 amateur boxing clubs located throughout the state. These clubs, along with the coaches, athletes, and officials, form the backbone of the LBC (Local Boxing Committee). The LBC athlete membership is comprised of both male and female boxers. Athletes compete in the 11 Olympic-style weight classes:light flyweight (106 pounds);flyweight (112 pounds); bantamweight (119 pounds); featherweight (125 pounds); lightweight (132 pounds); light welterweight (141 pounds); welterweight (152 pounds); middleweight (165 pounds) light heavyweight (178 pounds); heavyweight (201 pounds); and super heavyweight (+201 pounds).
